MASTERPIECE Mystery! "Miss Scarlet and The Duke" Season 2, Episode 2. Shown from left to right: Kate Phillips as Eliza Scarlet, Evan McCabe as Oliver Fitzroy and Stuart Martin as William "The Duke" Wellington

Season two of Miss Scarlet and The Duke picked up just a few short months after Eliza solved her father’s murder case. Her relationship with William (the “Duke”) continues to simmer and she continues to face the challenges of being a female private detective – despite her many successes – in male-dominated Victorian London.

Watch Miss Scarlet and The Duke on Sundays at 8pm on the PBS Video app or WITF TV. Episodes are free to stream for two weeks after their television premiere. Binge the whole second (and first) season now with WITF Passport.

She had already stirred up trouble between herself and William by reopening a case of a missing woman that had been investigated by the police and considered closed. But now she’s moving on to the next case – a case of a missing sketch.

In episode two, a valuable sketch by the famed naturalist Charles Darwin is stolen and Eliza is hired by an insurance company to find it. The reason behind her hiring, and the process of solving the mystery, brings more fresh twists and turns for Eliza and the Duke.

Watch Miss Scarlet and the Duke Sundays at 8pm on the PBS Video app or WITF TV. Episodes are free to stream for free for two weeks following their television premiere, but WITF Passport members can binge the entire new season (and season one) now using the PBS Video app.
