Customer Service Specialist

Do you enjoy working with people and providing top-notch customer service? WITF is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work with members of our development and fundraising team to answer questions and provide an amazing customer experience to our audience and donors. Our Customer Service Specialist will also provide administrative support to their colleagues through data entry, responding to customer inquiries, and forwarding customer questions and concerns to the appropriate department. Our Development Team works hard to support WITF’s mission financially through several fundraising campaigns throughout the year. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

The ideal candidate should have a 2+ years of customer service experience or equivalent education and experience along with proficient skills in customer databases and Microsoft Office. Experience in a nonprofit is a plus.

Digital Producer

WITF is seeking a skilled, creative, and ambitious multi-platform digital producer with strong news judgement. This person should have a track record of digital innovation, while serving as a dynamic team player, who is comfortable in the digital and social media worlds and can handle operating in a fast-turnaround environment. The job duties include working with content creators to build a multimedia story to share with our community on multiple digital and social media platforms. A steward of the WITF brand, the Digital Producer will also help grow our audience across social networks and newsletters, connecting readers with our content and engaging them in conversation. This position requires extensive experience using analytics to track audience growth and engagement across digital platforms. The ability to work independently, effectively and with others inside and outside the company is a must. The best candidates will know how to take initiative and oversee projects that are both immediate and long-term.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Digital or Multimedia preferred
  • 2+ years of multiplatform digital newsroom experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building audience through social networks (Twitter, Facebook and beyond)
  • Working knowledge of Web production and HTML
  • Experience using social analytics and testing to determine and maximize social ROI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and environment

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience producing multimedia and/or knowledge of video and photo editing platforms a plus
  • Experience with managing Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Marketing campaigns a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong team player with desire to collaborate with others
  • Social media junkie
