State Capitol Bureau Chief

You will oversee the daily operations of a one-person bureau, which produces spot news and long-form stories that will be heard through a network of public media organizations in Pennsylvania and one in southern New York. We are seeking an experienced multiplatform journalist. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, at least two years as a journalist in a fast-paced environment, and is an engaging storyteller with strong reporting, investigative skills and writing abilities. The reporter must also be comfortable working independently, producing high
quality photographs to supplement their stories, have knowledge of audio

StateImpact Pennsylvania Reporter
StateImpact Pennsylvania is a national award-winning multimedia, data-driven reporting collaboration that focuses on covering the fiscal and environmental impact of Pennsylvania’s booming energy economy, including natural gas drilling. We are increasingly focused on reporting at the intersection of the state’s fossil fuel industry and climate change.
StateImpact is a partnership among WITF, WHYY in Philadelphia, The Allegheny Front in Pittsburgh, and WPSU in State College. Broadcast reports are heard on public radio stations across Pennsylvania and periodically on NPR. StateImpact Pennsylvania has a dedicated website that has become a “go to” site on energy issues in the commonwealth. The collaboration has been recognized with a 2013 duPont Columbia Silver Baton and multiple RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of reporting experience with radio/on-air experience along with 2 years of experience reporting on government and political news. PA Post Development Manager
PA Post is seeking a Development Manager to partner with organization leadership to help foster our mission of connecting Pennsylvanians to their state, and each other, with accountability and deep-dive reporting that is multimedia, digital-first audience-focused and distributed statewide.
In this role, you will develop relationships with individuals, institutional funders and community leaders to help grow our reporting initiatives by building revenue streams to sustain PA Post’s long-term financial success. The Development Manager will also work strategically with the Chief Content Officer and Executive Editor to develop new and non-traditional sources of revenue.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working in fundraising and development, either as a grant writer or program officer, and should be conversant broadly on the topic of nonprofit fundraising. Candidates should have experience delivering clear and concise communication to various audiences as well as be capable of effectively managing multiple priorities and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment. The role is based in Harrisburg, PA, and will require occasional travel throughout PA.

Executive Assistant to the President
WITF is seeking an organized professional with excellent administrative and people skills to serve as the Executive Assistant to the President/CEO.
This person will provide confidential administrative support to the President, including scheduling meetings both internally and externally, preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, and interacting with staff, board and donors. They will also serve as the secretary to the Board of Directors for WITF, a select group of community and business leaders.
Board responsibilities include the scheduling of board and committee meetings and the preparation of board materials and minutes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with tact and sound judgment.
The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in an administrative role or comparable experience.
