Brand Ambassador

WITF is looking for energetic, engaging, motivated Brand Ambassadors that love to talk to new people – children and grown-ups – with a smile and a positive attitude. The goal of the Brand Ambassador team is to represent WITF at community events, festivals, etc., sharing information about WITF programs and services, offer promotional items, encourage donations, and process sales.

At some events, Brand Ambassadors may be required to assist children and families with craft activities, or “perform” as a Costumed Character from a PBS KIDS program.

Brand Ambassadors travel to and from events with setup items, so along with use of a company van, reliable transportation is a must. Reimbursement for show and event travel within Central Pennsylvania is provided.

You will earn a starting hourly rate of $20.00 plus meal allowances (or food provided) for long shift times on-site at events.

Creative Director

The Creative Director for WITF Productions is responsible for guiding the design and creation of original content for multiple platforms and connecting new and existing audiences with engaging experiences. This newly created role will partner with the Chief Digital Officer and Chief Audience Officer to create the strategy and roadmap for WITF Productions plus lead the development of scripted and unscripted audio and video content for a mix of on-demand and linear platforms.

This person must innately understand the digital landscape, including trends, opportunities, audience behavior, community management, and intersections with social media. They will ensure that our content reaches and serves diverse audiences, builds healthy engagement, and maximizes sustainability.

Videographer/Video Editor

WITF is seeking a creative and experienced Videographer/Video Editor to join our production team full-time. We are looking for a competent videographer with an understanding of non-linear video editing systems. Must be able to record and edit all types of programs as assigned; anything from :30 second intensely edited spots to hour long documentaries and everything in between. Needs to meet deadlines while demonstrating the ability to create in imaginative and versatile editing styles. Attention to detail is necessary. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of video, audio, and lighting experience and experience in non-linear/digital editing. Additional production skills are an asset. You must also have a valid driver’s license, outstanding communication skills, and the proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with contributing to the creative process of television and digital media is a must. Familiarity with a Panasonic GH5 or similar camera, Final Cut Pro, and piloting a drone is a plus. This position is part of the NABET-CWA Local 31.

Current Internship Positions

WITF offers resume-building, academic experience to college students across a variety of disciplines.  While our internships are unpaid, interns using their internship for academic credit have the opportunity to apply for a stipend through the Chronister Internship Endowment

Podcast Production Intern

WITF is seeking a creative and outgoing college student to work alongside WITF’s digital production staff to create and produce podcasts geared toward community people and topics. In this role, students will gain valuable experience working alongside WITF’s seasoned production staff while also having the opportunity to create content independently. In this internship, students will have the opportunity to hone their skills in audio and video production, gain valuable experience interacting with the public, and learn the importance of production and promotion. Intern candidates should be enrolled in a program focusing on communications, audio production, journalism, or a similar field and have completed at least two years of course work.
