Donor Privacy Policy

I.   GENERAL

At WITF, your privacy is of paramount importance to us. WITF’s Donor Privacy Policy provides an overview of how we process,manage, and maintain any personal data that we collect from you or that you provide to us as a financial donor, either online or offline. WITF recognizes that you have entrusted us with the appropriate stewarding of your charitable contributions, and we will not share, sell, or trade your personal information to any organization or person without your expressed written consent.

WITF maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with industry standards and practices, and we review and adjust these safeguards regularly in response to advances in technology and efficiency. Access to confidential donor information is limited to only those employees who perform data maintenance, manage a specific portfolio
of donor relationships and prospects, and those that determine strategy for internal development efforts as a core responsibility of their job. WITF holds these employees to a strict code of ethics and accountability.

As a valued contributor to WITF, you may receive periodic updates, correspondence, invitations, or solicitations, both electronically and by mail. You may choose to opt-out of these communications at any time (see below). WITF may also use your information to track visitors to our website and attendance at WITF hosted events. This allows us to assess
which of our services are most meaningful so we can better meet the needs of our audience and supporters. It also allows us to provide aggregate,
non-specific data about our web traffic, program audience, and event attendance as proof of performance to outside parties (e.g. corporate sponsors, community and family foundations) whose support is also essential for WITF to thrive.

This notice may be altered or updated periodically, Amendments and updates will be posted on this website. If the policy is materially
altered, the new policy will be promptly posted to this website. A
subsequent donation by you will be deemed as your agreement that your
information may be used in accordance with the new policy. If you do not
agree with the changes, please notify us that you do not want your information used in accordance with the changes.

II.   USE AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

By providing information to WITF, you acknowledge, consent and agree that WITF may access, read, preserve and disclose the personal information you provide to us as a donor, along with usage history, submitted messages or data and similar information regarding your use of the website in order to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; (c) respond to your requests for customer service; (d) protect the rights, property, or
personal safety of WITF its visitors, or the public; (e) where we sell any or all of our business assets; or (f) as otherwise set forth herein. With your prior consent we may also publish your name to acknowledge your support in our annual report and provide your personal information to the agency you have designated as the recipient of your generosity.
