In the long, hot summer of 1959 – with the wedding season in full swing – drama returns to the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester. Last week’s episode already saw a murder on a local estate. Will and Geordie investigated the stories of lost love and familial inheritance to uncover the killer.

Now, in episode two, Lester Carmichael – the owner of a cleaning goods brand – is found dead in curious circumstances. Will and Geordie’s investigation leads them to an address where they discover that Lester’s private life was less spotless than the image he and his wife presented to the public.
