(University Park) — The Penn State Nittany Lions will play their 12th and final game of the regular season today when they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Senior Day at Beaver Stadium.

16 seniors will be taking part in their last home game.  They include defensive starters Cam Brown, Jan Johnson, Robert Windsor and John Reid.  Offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez and punter Blake Gillikin will also be honored.

The Lions are 9-2 on the season and a win over Rutgers would give them their third undefeated home slate in the past four years.

Rutgers is 2-9 and in last place in the Big Ten’s East Division.

The numbers tell the story for the struggling Knights.  Their defense allows an average of 38 points per game,.. while their offense scores an average of just 14.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30pm.
