(York) —  Governor Tom Wolf is slated to tour flood damage this afternoon after York County residents lost homes, property and have spent four days cleaning up mud and debris.

Wolf will begin his visit at 4 p.m. at the York County 911 Center.

The Democrat will then see some of the damage in his home county, traveling to Kreutz Creek Road in Hellam Township.

That damage was caused after 8 to 14 inches of rain fell in a 4-hour period late Friday afternoon, flooding creeks, roads and homes and closing Route 30.

The hardest-hit townships in York County were Hellam, Chanceford, Lower Chanceford, Hopewell, East Hopewell and Fawn. Glen Rock and Shrewsbury also saw some intense storms.

The county is seeking a federal disaster declaration.
