Late-surfacing report has little impact on high court race

(Harrisburg) — A late-surfacing campaign finance report in the 12-way race for Pennsylvania’s highest court made barely a ripple in the nearly $5 million collectively raised by the candidates.

The report from Adams County Judge Mike George was not publicly available on Friday, the reporting deadline, but it was posted on the Department of State website today.

George has been the leading fundraiser among the six Republican candidates since he received a $500,000 contribution from a local businessman friend earlier this year.

His latest report shows that he raised about $16,000 in the five-week reporting period and spent about $28,000.

The primary election is May 19.
