Radio Smart Talk: Buying local and organic food

Buy fresh logo.jpg

Radio Smart Talk for Thursday, June 13:

Many Pennsylvanians are changing how and where they buy the food they eat.

Purchasing fruits and vegetables and other food items that were grown or produced locally is becoming more popular.

The reasons they buy local include food safety, taste of the food, the environment, and supporting local farmers.

The same could be said about organic food too.

On Thursday’s Radio Smart Talk, we’ll look at buying local food and organic foods.

Our guests will be Casey Spacht, Manager of the Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative and Casi Babinchak, Chief Operations Officer of the Central Market House in York.
