Lancaster County Commissioner claims a majority of residents oppose abortion but provides no data

I’m focusing on a statement made by Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons saying the county would “reevaluate” relationships with hospitals that partnered with the newly-opened Planned Parenthood in Lancaster.

He wrote: “The vast majority of the citizens of Lancaster County, myself included, are opposed to Planned Parenthood’s stated mission to bring abortion on demand to Lancaster County.”

Parsons provided no data to support his claim.

I couldn’t immediately find data on how Lancaster countians think about abortion, so I’m turning to you for help. Have you come across any polls about this?

I’ll be working next week to find information to answer whether Parsons’ claim is factual or not, so stay tuned for updates on how the reporting goes.
