  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

The Child In Time follows Stephen Lewis (Benedict Cumberbatch, Sherlock), a children’s author, as he struggles to find purpose in his life after the loss of his daughter.

His wife Julie (Kelly Macdonald) has left him, and the film explores the dark territory of a marriage devastated, the loss of childhood, the fluidity of time, grief, hope and acceptance.

This program originally broadcast on Masterpiece on WITF in April 2018. The program is still available to stream on the PBS Video app if you are a WITF Passport Member. However, this drama expires in WITF Passport on March 31.
