(University Park) — It’s forecast to be chilly and wet when The Big 10 East faces the Big 10 West this afternoon at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State and Iowa will kickoff at 3:30pm.

The Nittany Lions will be going up against a Hawkeye defense that is statistically one of the best in the country.

Penn State Head Coach James Franklin says his offensive line will have it’s hands full.

“I think it’s by far the best front we have faced in two years.  They are long.  They are physical.  They are stout.  They make a bunch of plays.  It seems like they’re 6’7″, 290 pounds kind of across the board.  I think the D-ends are like 6’7″ and 6’8″,.. 270 something pounds,” Franklin said.

They’ll be trying to stop one of the better rushing attacks in the Big 10.  The Nittany Lions are averaging nearly 241 yards per game on the ground.

Penn State will be trying to snap a two game home losing streak.

Forecasters say heavy rain will taper off to showers this afternoon in State College.  It’ll be breezy and very chilly with a high of only 42.
