(Harrisburg) — A midstate Congressional candidate has been endorsed by former Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden is supporting Democrat George Scott in the 10th Congressional District, which includes all of Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties.

He praises Scott for his 20 years of military service and current work as a Lutheran pastor.

Scott is challenging Republican Congressman Scott Perry, who first took office in 2013.

The district significantly changed when the state supreme court issued new maps earlier this year.

It has been rated leans Republican by the Cook Political Report.
