(Lebanon) — Construction of a new mixed-use retail and office development in Hershey is scheduled to finish in late July 2018.

The 90,000-square-foot development, Hershey Towne Square, is going up along West Chocolate Avenue, or Route 422, just a couple miles west of Lebanon County. Commercial developer RVG Management & Development, based in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania, is behind the project.

A three-story, 60-000-square-foot office building is already nearing completion, and RVG is currently reviewing its potential uses, a company spokesperson told the Lebanon Daily News.

Retail stores along Chocolate Avenue are still under construction. Upon completion, prominent businesses in Hershey Towne Square will include Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, Primanti Bros., Starbucks and the United States Post Office.

The development is at the site of the old Hershey Post Office.

At nearly 9,000 square feet, Iron Hill Brewery is by far the largest retail space at Hershey Towne Square. Situated directly across from Iron Hill, Primanti Bros., the popular sandwich chain based in Pittsburgh, is second at 5,400 square feet.

The 32,000-square foot retail center is also set to house Beef Jerky Outlet, Freshido, Great Clips, Happy Nails & Spa, Iron Valley Real Estate, Jersey Mike’s and Tropical Smoothie Café. An announcement is pending on two more stores coming to Hershey Towne Square.

All retail suites have been filled, according to RVG.

At least one business, Primanti Bros., is already hiring for its Hershey location. For more information, visit PrimantiBros.com/jobs.

In addition to the retail center and office building, the development also contains a new parking garage. Limited on-street street parking will be available as well.
