Coroner identifies four men killed in York County crash

(Undated) — Four adult males are dead after a crash in Paradise Township on Monday morning, according to York County Coroner Pam Gay. 

Jonathan Beiler, 27, of Peach Bottom, Gregory Butcher Jr., 26, of West Chester, Reuben Fisher, 23, of Oxford and Matthew Hurst, 24, of Glenmore, all passengers in a utility truck, were killed in the crash between the utility truck and a septic truck, according to a press release from Gay. 

All four were killed on impact, with the cause of death identified as multiple blunt force trauma due to a two-vehicle crash. There will be no autopsy but toxicologies were drawn, the release said. 

Units were dispatched to the scene of the reported crash with entrapment on Route 30 near Pine Road and Mary Street around 7:15 a.m., according to the York County incident log.

According to Gay, a utility truck that was driving westbound near the 7600 block of Lincoln Highway crossed over the center lane into the path of a septic tanker truck, which was heading east. 

The utility truck belonged to Little Washington Fabricators Inc. of Christiana, Pa., Gay said.

The two vehicles struck nearly head on, according to police.
All four people in the utility truck were killed.

The driver of the septic tanker truck extricated and flown to York Hospital by helicopter, according to a Northern York Regional Police news release.

There is no information on the driver’s condition at this time, Gay said.

The crash, near Emig’s 81 Diner, also required a Hazmat unit.

Rt. 30, between Moulstown and West Canal roads, was re-opened as of 3:30 p.m.
