(State College) — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for south-central Pennsylvania through Sunday night at 7pm.

Almost daily rains and recent snowmelt has left stream levels high and soils very wet.

Forecasters say the next steady rain to spread over the region will come mostly on Saturday night into Sunday morning,.. and will increase the threat of flooding across the region.

The National Weather Service says an additional one to two inches of rain is likely for our area this weekend.

Those living in flood prone areas should be prepared to take action if flooding develops.
