102nd Pennsylvania Farm Show comes to a close

(Harrisburg) — All that’s left now is the clean-up as the state farm show complex in Harrisburg prepares for it’s next event.
The 102nd Pennsylvania Fatm Show ended it’s week-long run late Saturday afternoon.
Governor Tom Wolf made sure to use the event to remind Pennsylvanian’s about the importance of agriculture to the state’s economy.is reminding us of the lasting impact of agriculture on the state’s economy.
Wolf pointed to a new report showing that agriculture has a 136 billion dollar annual economic impact in Pennsylvania, supporting over half a million jobs and paying 27 billion dollars a year in wages.
The report also includes a number of recommendations.
“We don’t want a plan that just sits on a shelf somewhere. We want a plan that actually gives us a roadmap as to how we can insure that the younger generation see’s a great, great future in agriculture,” he said.
Wolf says he wants Pennsylvania to be a place where people and businesses can succeed, despite market challenges and uncertainty from Washington.
