(Chambersburg) — A website designed to help community leaders and organizations collect, assess, and analyze Franklin County health-related data has been launched.

HealthyFranklinCounty.org is part of a community effort, and collaboration among Summit Health, Keystone Health, the United Way of Franklin County, Franklin County Government, the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, and the Franklin County Area Development Corporation.

Vice President for Community Relations of Summit Health, Barbara Rossini said one of the biggest advantages of HealthyFranklinCounty.org is important data that will help community leaders better understand the needs of Franklin County will be available in one place.

“Data is extremely important to understanding our community and how we can improve upon health and well-being,” she explained. “For instance, using data from the 2012 Community Health Needs Assessment and the Prosperity Indicators Report, Summit Health and other community organizations were able to create a number of groups to address the needs of our community. Having new data will allow us to evaluate our current programs and adjust or add new ones as needed.”
