Nearly all of Pa.’s GOP congressmen support McCarthy for Speaker

(Washington, D.C.) — Nearly every Republican congressman in Pennsylvania is supporting Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy as the next Speaker of the House.
The 11 men all say he is the right person to lead the House Republicans.
Among the lawmakers endorsing the California lawmaker are midstate Congressmen Joe Pitts, Bill Shuster, Charlie Dent, Lou Barletta, and Glenn Thompson.
Scott Perry, whose district includes Adams County and portions of York, Dauphin and Cumberland counties, wasn’t listed.
The Speaker position will open up October 30th, when John Boehner steps down.
