York County judge charged with groping woman
(York) — A York County judge is facing charges of assaulting a woman who appeared in his courtroom.
State Attorney General Kathleen Kane is bringing the misdemeanor counts against Jeffrey Scott Joy, a magisterial district judge.
A woman alleges Joy visited her apartment twice this year, groping her backside and licking her breast.
Joy also allegedly has made inappropriate sexual comments to another woman in his courtroom, and visited the home of a third woman who appeared in court.
York County’s President Judge Stephen Linebaugh is re-assigning all of Judge Joy’s cases, and says he’s suspended until further notice.
