Lancaster actor Jeremy Kendall.

Actor Jeremy Kendall of Lancaster initially thought he might try to do a one-man play that went through the entire battle of Gettysburg. While he admitted that that was a crazy idea, it did help lead him to dream up what is his first attempt at writing his own play. Humble Honor: Witness to Gettysburg is a one-man play consisting of a series of monologues from fictional characters that Kendall devised through research of letters and books about Gettysburg.

While a few of the characters are soldiers in the war, there’s also a boy who helps a woman bury the dead and a battlefield photographer.

Humble Honor: Witness to Gettysburg will be performed by Kendall on Saturday, January 25th at 7:30pm at the Ware Center in Lancaster.
