Smart Talk: JFK — the American Experience film and his legacy

What to look for on Smart Talk, Monday, November 11, 2013:

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 — 50 years ago next Friday.

The crime itself has been documented and written about perhaps more than any other topic over the past half century. But what about the life of Kennedy himself? There have many biographies, so is there anything else to learn about the nation’s 35th president?

A new American Experience film on PBS — JFK — shows Kennedy like he probably has never been seen before.

On Monday’s Smart Talk, American Experience Executive Producer Mark Samels and JFK producer and director Susan Bellows discuss the documentary and Kennedy.

Also, Franklin and Marshall College political analyst, pollster, and historian Dr. G. Terry Madonna appears on the program to talk about President Kennedy’s thousand days in office.
