Reading residents will have the chance to help clean up the Schuylkill River and enjoy outdoor activities during the city’s fifth annual RIVERZILLA Community Day on Saturday. The event, a collaboration between the City of Reading Public Works Department and Schuylkill River Greenways, is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Under the bill, DEP would have one year to determine how much of each kind of pollutant someone can spill before they have to report it.

The largest share is going to efforts in the south central part of the state.
