Join the festivities as the annual New Year’s Day Parade brings joy and cheers to the streets of London. Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, the parade route finds American marching bands trotting through the ancient City of Westminster.
London’s New Years Day Parade is a festive event that takes place every year on January 1st. Since 1987, over half a million people have taken to the streets of London to ring in the new year. Next year will be no exception to this annual tradition. The parade begins at Piccadilly and extends to Piccadilly Circus, wraps around Eros and then flows down Regent Street St James’. It continues down Pall Mall, marching past Trafalgar Square and along Whitehall to the finish line at Westminster. Originally, the route was flipped, but American broadcasting TV stations preferred ending at the more notable Landmarks like Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.
Tune in to experience the grand marching bands, cheerleaders, musical performers, and over 10,000 participants from America, the UK, and all over Europe.
