Ring in the new year from the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic’s annual concert.

Great Performances: From Vienna: The New Year’s Celebration 2023 premieres on WITF TV on Sunday, January 1 at 8pm. You can stream it on-demand for free through the PBS Video app until January 30.

Great Performances: From Vienna: The New Year’s Celebration 2023 is guest conducted for the third time by Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, a three-time Grammy nominee, and features many musical selections never before played at these New Year’s concerts – including works by Josef Strauss, Franz von Suppè, Joseph Hellmesberger, Jr., Johann Strauss, Jr. and more.

PBS favorite Hugh Bonneville returns as host for a sixth consecutive year. The performance also features the Vienna Boys and Girls Choirs and the Vienna State Ballet, choreographed by Ashley Page.

From Vienna: The New Year’s Celebration 2023 premieres on WITF TV on Sunday, January 1 at 8pm and streams for free through the PBS Video app until January 30.
