Adapted from the best-selling novel by John Lanchester, Capital is a modern fable bursting with piercing observations on urban existence. Set on Pepys Road in South London, it paints a portrait of a road, its residents, and a community transformed by soaring property prices and gentrification.

The drama starts when the residents all receive a postcard bearing a simple message: “We Want What You Have.”

Who’s behind the hate campaign? What do they want? The postcard sends a ripple through the community. As the mystery deepens, lives are transformed through love and loss, fear and greed, and ultimately, family and home.

From the makers of Broadchurch, Capital stars Toby Jones as Roger and Rachael Stirling as his wife Arabella, Gemma Jones as the elderly widow Petunia, Wunmi Mosaku as the street warden Quentina, and Adeel Akhtar as Ahmed, who runs the corner shop.
