WITF presents Special Coverage of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin has said that the hearings will begin Monday, March 21.
Monday – The first day of the hearings will feature opening statements beginning at 3:00pm with Judge Brown Jackson’s opening statement and a recap of the statements of Judiciary Committee Chairman Durbin (D-IL) and the Ranking Member, Chuck Grassley (R-IA) from earlier in the day. We will provide analysis of those remarks and of other pertinent moments from the day’s proceedings.
Tuesday – Special Coverage begins at 9am and is expected to run all day and into the evening with questioning of the nominee continuing.
Wednesday – We expect Special Coverage to proceed in much the same manner as Tuesday, but we expect an earlier day, with questioning/testimony wrapping up perhaps in the afternoon.
Timing of these hearings are subject to change. This is a live event and timing can sometimes change without much notice. Tune in to WITF on 89.5 & 93.3 or through your smart speaker by asking it to play “WITF Radio”. A video stream of the proceedings will also be available through PBS Newshour’s website. WITF TV will remain with regularly scheduled programming.
