Portion of I-83 north down to one-lane this weekend; delays expected

(Harrisburg) — A section of northbound I-83 near Harrisburg has been reduced to a single lane this weekend.
Northbound traffic is restricted from just north of the Union Deposit Road Exit to the I-81 split.
The restriction, which is planned to be lifted at 6am Sunday morning, will allow the contractor to shift traffic to a newly constructed portion of the highway.
It’s all part of the 104-million dollar widening and rebuilding of a 3-mile section of I-83 between Union Deposit Road and I-81.
