President Biden speaks to a joint session of Congress

President Joe Biden, accompanied by Vice President Kamala Harris, speaks Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the White House in Washington, after former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd.

President Biden will address a joint session of Congress as he approaches his 100th day in office. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has invited the president to share his “vision for addressing the challenges and opportunities of this historic moment.”

Special coverage on radio and television begins at 9pm and is expected to wrap up around 11pm. The coverage will include a Republican response.

Notification of this special coverage came after the April television schedule was completed. The following changes due to this special coverage:

  • Human: The World Within “React” also originally scheduled on April 28, will move to Wednesday, June 2, 10pm
