  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

WITF adds BBC Outside Source to our weeknight news schedule beginning September 7.

Broadcasting live from the BBC News headquarters in London, Outside Source engages audiences through a unique, digital oriented storytelling approach.

Lively and fast paced, Ros Atkins stands in the center of the newsroom pulling real time information on-screen through social media, news wires, data feeds, fact checks and much more.

The program features business, sport and the latest in politics, leveraging regional correspondents and taking you to newsrooms around the world.

Watch BBC Outside Source Monday to Thursday at 7pm on WITF to bring you what matters most in a world of complex news.

This schedule change begins September 7 on WITF TV.  Viewers seeking PBS Kids programming can access the 24/7 PBS Kids Channel through the PBS Kids Video App, through our website, with an antenna tuned to channel 33.2, and through Comcast and FIOS.
