(Carlisle) — In an ongoing effort to support social distancing and provide a safer shopping environment, The Giant Company has announced it will start limiting the number of customers in its stores at one time.
Starting Monday, April 13th, company officials say a store employee will be stationed at front entrances to monitor occupancy limits.
Those limits will will vary by location and size of stores.
Officials say when the store has reached capacity, customers will be asked to form a line outside, while observing social distancing. As customers exit, those in line will be allowed in.
“This pandemic has reaffirmed the critical role grocery plays in our local communities and we appreciate our customers’ cooperation as we implement additional measures to help keep both them and our team members safe,” said Nicholas Bertram, president, The GIANT Company.
In addition, Bertram said the company is also asking customers to shop with as few family members as possible and to buy only what they need.
