(Harrisburg) — As of this afternoon, Pennsylvania has a total of 16 people that have tested positive for the coronavirus, Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said during a press conference.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed the initial cases in Wayne and Delaware county. The remaining 14 cases in the state remain presumed positive while awaiting CDC confirmation.

In an effort to be more transparent, Levine also disclosed additional details about tests that have been performed in the commonwealth.

To date, she said, there have been 173 Pennsylvanians who have been tested. Of those, 100 tested negative, 14 are presumed positive, two are confirmed by the CDC, and 57 tests are pending.

“The pending status is everything from those that are currently in the lab to those that we have approved for specimen collection and are on the way to the lab,” Dr. Sharon Watkins said.
