  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

Election 2020 Coverage

WITF’s Election 2020 coverage continues on radio with the South Carolina Primaries on Saturday February 29.

NPR News will provide comprehensive reporting from South Carolina. Coverage begins with the call-in conversation America, Are We Ready? produced by NPR-member station WNYC in collaboration with public media stations in South Carolina.  Then, NPR’s coverage of the primaries begins at 7pm. It is expected to last an hour, but may extend later.

This special coverage replaces Weekend All Things Considered and Live from Here. You will be able to hear the entire episode of Live from Here Sunday at noon.
