(East Lansing, Mich.) — The 6th ranked Penn State Nittany Lions are on the road this weekend putting their undefeated record on the line against the Michigan State Spartans.

The Lions have suffered two heart-breaking losses to the Spartans in each of the last two seasons.

Penn State has been led recently by a solid defense,.. especially against the run, the steady play of quarterback Sean Clifford and electrifying wideout K.J. Hamler,.. who was named the Big Ten player of the week last week in the Lions win over Michigan.

Michigan State is at 4-3 and coming off a bye week.  They’re also led by a stout defense, senior quarterback Brian Lewerke and the leading receiver in the Big Ten in Darrell Stewart.

The Nittany Lions last visited East Lansing in 2017 and lost on a last second field goal 27-24.

Last year at Beaver Stadium the Spartans won on a last minute touchdown pass 21-17.

The 2019 edition is scheduled to kickoff this afternoon at 3:30.
