Voters to fill state House vacancy in central Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg) — Voters are about to fill the lone vacancy in the state House with a special election in a Republican-leaning central Pennsylvania district.
The election today is for a seat vacated in May, when the former incumbent, Republican Republican Fred Keller, was elected to Congress.
The race pits GOP candidate David Rowe, a fitness business owner and former township commissioner, against Jennifer Rager-Kay, a Democrat and doctor who lost to Keller last year by a 2-to-1 margin.
Republican Clair Moyer is pursuing a write-in campaign.
Not counting the vacancy, Republicans currently control the state House majority, with 109 GOP members to 93 Democrats.
The district encompasses portions of Union and Snyder counties.
Keller replaced U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, a Republican who resigned in January.
