(Harrisburg) — Two of Lancaster’s oldest performing arts organizations are teaming up this fall.

The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and the Fulton Theatre have signed a five-year agreement for the symphony to perform at least four of its six yearly concerts at the historic theater.

The symphony has been traveling around the county to perform at venues such as the American Music Theatre, the Winter Center at Millersville University, the Ware Center, and the Barshinger Center at Franklin & Marshall College.

The Fulton is undergoing a significant expansion. Due to the construction schedule, the symphony will play at the theater for half of the upcoming 2019-20 season and increase its presence the following year.

The upcoming season will also mark the last for LSO Conductor Stephen Gunzenhauser, who recently announced plans to retire.
