(Harrisburg) — Another snowstorm has hit the region.
Winter storm advisories, watches and warnings were issued for the midstate, with the latest snowfall resulting in as much as half a foot in some parts of the region.
Meteorologist David Norton with the National Weather Service in State College notes it’s the third snow-making weather system to hit central Pennsylvania since early Friday.
“The southern part of the state, especially the southeast, has had bascially advisory to warning-type snow from these storms,” he said. “It’s kind of unusual to have these storms that close together.”

Norton says there’ll be a brief warm-up followed by a return of winter-like temperatures, but he doesn’t expect any more snow this week.
“Fortunately, it was not as strong a storm as what some of the computer models had three or four days ago,” he said.
