(Quincy Township) — Police investigating a report of animal cruelty said they found two emaciated dogs and two cats inside a home on South Mountain Road.

In the backyard kennel they found a decomposed dog carcass in a boarded-up crate, according to court documents. Scratches on the inside of the wooden crate suggested that the dog had clawed at the wood to get out.
