One of the most shocking stories to come out of the Grand Jury report on sexual abuse in the Catholic Church in Pennsylvania last August was that of the Fortney sisters. One priest — Rev. Augustine Giella — sexually abused, molested and assaulted five of the Fortney sisters.
Four of the Fortney sisters appeared on Smart Talk along with Pennsylvania Victim Advocate Jennifer Storm in September 2018.
It was one of the most heart-wrenching and compelling Smart Talk programs ever.
