June Smart Talk Road Trip: Made in America at Harley Davidson York
On Wednesday June 13, join WITF as Smart Talk Road Trip rolls into Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations in York. 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Made in America Tours Event in York County. While the county has plenty of year-round factory tours that open the world of manufacturing to visitors, the Made in America Event shines a spotlight on this important part of our community and economy. Made in America Tours run June 13-16, and Smart Talk’s helping to kick things off at Harley-Davidson. We’ll discuss the manufacturing world that still drives a large part of Pennsylvania’s economy.
This event is free but RSVP is requested. Join us at 8:30am for a special Made in America Tour Week Kick Off presentation from the York County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Then watch as Scott LaMar hosts Smart Talk LIVE from 9-10am.
Stick around after the show and take a guided journey through the facility that produces one of America’s most prolific icons, the Harley! Both classic and Steel Toe Tours are available. Please note that in order to ensure safety while on the tour, fully-enclosed, low-heeled (one inch or less) shoes are required. Children under the age of 12 are welcome in the Tour Center, but are not allowed on the factory tour. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
