State Police urge Pennsylvanians to stay alert in wake of New York terror attack

(Harrisburg) — Following Tuesday’s terror attack in New York City, Pennsylvania State Police are urging people to be vigilant.
Pennsylvania State Police spokesman Corporal Adam Reed says people should be aware of their surroundings and if they see something out of the ordinary to report it to authorities.
“We have an app that is free of charge to download. It’s called “See Something, Send Something”. It allows users to submit tips and information to the Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center where they can be analyzed and looked into further if warranted,” he said.
State Police also urge anyone who may know someone with ties to a terror cell or interest in terrorism to alert law enforcement.
Reed says intelligence can go a long way to preventing attacks.
Reports say the suspect in Tuesday’s New York City terror attack had been stopped in central Pennsylvania for traffic violations in 2012 and 2015.
