(Harrisburg) — An important deadline for new voters is approaching quickly in the Keystone State.

Eligible Pennsylvanians who want to vote in the November general election have until next Tuesday, October 10th to apply for a new voter registration or to make changes to their existing registration.

Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro Cortes says going online is the best way to do it.

“Online voter registraton provides the convenience and is secure.  24-hours a day, seven days a week people can access our site at votespa-dot-com and they are able there to process an application,” he said.

Anyone wanting to vote in November must be a US citizen for at least a month before the election, a resident of Pennsylvania and their voting district for at least 30 days before and at least 18 years of age by election day.
