Penn State goes for six in a row

(Bloomington, IN) — The Penn State Nittany Lions begin a two game road trip today when they face the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
The Lions put together their most complete performance of the season last Saturday, dominating a good Iowa team, 41-14.
Penn State’s read-option offense has been firing on all cylinders and the defense is healthy again and showing remarkable improvement from earlier in the season.
Head Coach James Franklin was quick to remind his players that Indiana fields a very talented team of its own and recent history suggests a struggle for the Lions, especially when playing in Bloomington.
“In 2013 Indiana won 45-24. The last couple years it’s been tightly contested games. The last five in Bloomington have been close games. Four were decided by six points or less.” Franklin said.
The 5-4 Hoosiers will use two quarterbacks and rely on their passing attack which averages nearly 300 yards per game and is ranked second in the Big Ten.
With a five game winning streak, the Nittany Lions are now 7-2.
They are at number 10 in the College Football Playoff rankings and this past week they moved up to number 12 in the AP poll.
