Pa. AG won’t appeal judge’s dismissal of many Reed charges

(Harrisburg) — The state Attorney General’s office will not appeal a judge’s ruling that dismissed hundreds of criminal charges filed against former Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed.
Solicitor General Bruce Castor in the A.G.’s office says there’s no reason to delay the case.
144 criminal charges remain on Reed’s case, which could bring up to 886 years in prison if he’s convicted on all counts.
Reed faces charges related to his collection of artifacts that were eventually expected to fill a series of museums.
The A.G.’s office says it found many of the artifacts in Reed’s home and office.
