The Hershey Bears celebrate their 2-0 victory over Portland on Saturday night, which tied their AHL first-round series at 2-2 with the Pirates.

(Hershey) — Defense and goaltending were the keys to survival for the Hershey Bears in game four of their AHL playoff series against Portland Saturday night.

The Bears got goals from from Travis Boyd and Chris Bourque, and goalie Justin Peters stopped all 19-shots he faced as Hershey downed the Pirates 2-0 at Giant Center.

Hershey’s penalty kill has been amazing throughout the series.  It’s allowed just one goal in 22 Portland power play chances in the first four games.

The win evens the best of five series at two games a piece.

The deciding game five is this afternoon at Giant Center.
