(Lancaster) — A new Franklin and Marshall College poll shows Donald Trump leading in the Pennsylvania’s Republican presidential primary, but Ohio Governor John Kasich is surging.

The survey shows Trump leading with 33 percent, but Kasich in a close second just three points behind.

Ted Cruz trails with 20 percent.  Poll director Terry Madonna says there’s time for things to change.

“The fact is that we still have about one in five Republican voters who are undecided about their prerference,” he says.

In the Democratic presidential race, Hillary Clinton is well ahead of Bernie Sanders, 53 to 28 percent.

In the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, Joe Sestak leads with 31 percent over Katie McGinty at 14 percent.

Madonna says Sestak started the race with some advantages.

“I think it’s partly name recognition but there’s another factor here,” he says. “The Admiral has spent the last five years traversing the state. He has been in every nook and cranny visiting with many local Democratic leaders.”

John Fetterman is in third with seven percent, but nearly half of Democratic voters are undecided.
