Winter storm expected to bring snow and ice to the region

(Harrisburg) — Another winter storm is hitting the midstate and it may be a complicated one.
Snow is expected to start before changing over to freezing rain this afternoon.
By tomorrow, areas south of the Turnpike could see 1-3 inches of snow, while portions of the midstate to the north of the toll road could get 2-5 inches.
Ice accumulations could be up to a tenth of an inch.
A winter weather advisory is already in effect for Berks County until 2:00 a.m. tomorrrow.
One goes into effect at 2:00 p.m. today until 1:00 a.m. tomorrow for Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Schuylkill and York counties.
In Columbia, Juniata, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties, a winter weather advisory goes in effectat 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Thee Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency plans to activate its state Emergency Operations Center at noon today.
