(Gettysburg) — A well-known name from the public radio world is slated to deliver the keynote address at the annual Dedication Day event – marking President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

Garrison Keillor, the long-time host of A Prairie Home Companion, will make an appearance November 19th at Soldiers’ National Cemetery at the Gettysburg National Military Park.

He says he’s always been impressed with Lincoln’s story, especially his humanity.

Organizers say Keillor offers two key perspectives, as someone who knows history, but can also share more contemporary thoughts.

Dedication Day ceremonies begin at 10 in the morning on the 19th – which marks the 152-nd commemoration of the Gettysburg Address.
