(Baltimore) — The Penn State Nittany Lions are on the road again this week.  Game number eight features the Maryland Terrapins, a team that beat the Lions at Beaver Stadium last season 20-19.

At 5-2 overall Penn State is looking to make a bit of history today with quarterback Christian Hackenberg.  He needs 29 pass attempts, 11 completions and just 74 yards to become the school’s career leader in all three categories.

Maryland is 2-4 and will be playing their first game under interim head coach Mike Locksley who replaced Randy Edsall after the Ohio State game two weeks ago.  Penn State head coach James Franklin wants his team prepared for anything.

“We’re not chasing ghosts, but that we’re prepared for those things that they may do to maybe gain a possession or gain two possessions, create some momentum and things like that, so,  fake punts, onside kicks and trick plays on offense,” he said.

The Terrapins were off last week while the Lions got battered by Ohio State 38-10.

Today’s game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30pm.
