What to look for on Smart Talk Friday, June 5, 2015:

Prosecutors may have a more difficult time proving that violent threats made on social media sites constitute a crime after a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this week.

Anthony Elonis of Northampton County, Pennsylvania wrote what he called fictitious, rap music lyrics where he threatened violence against his estranged wife, co-workers, and a kindergarten class.

He was convicted of making the threats, but the high court struck down that conviction, saying prosecutors did not show criminal intent by Elonis.

The ruling has left some wondering what constitutes a violent threat.

We’ll dissect the case on Friday’s Smart Talk with Widener Law Harrisburg’s Prof. Randy Lee and Ellen Kramer, Legal Director for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Also, Filmaker Nancy Speilberg appears on the program to discuss Above and Beyond: The Untold True Story, her movie about Jewish-American pilots who flew and fought for Israel in that nation’s 1948 war of independence.

The film will be shown exclusively at Chisuk Emuna Synagogue in Harrisburg at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14.

Finally, eight wounded veterans are riding motorcycles on their way from Canada to Key West, Florida with a stop at the Lower Allen VFW in Cumberland County.

CORRECTION: It was said during the show that the Road Warrior Ride would stop at the Lower Allen VFW Friday at 5.  That is incorrect.  The veterans will pull into the VFW SUNDAY at around 5.  We regret the error.
