(Harrisburg) — State Attorney General Kathleen Kane says the investigation into the financing of Harrisburg’s incinerator deal should be public soon.

“We have been working on it, dedicated agents since the inception, we’re hoping to draw to a conclusion in the very near future, and we understand that no stone will be left unturned,” says Kane, speaking at a budget hearing at the Capitol.

She addressed the investigation after state Senator Rob Teplitz of Dauphin County mentioned his constituents often bring it up to him.

Harrisburg is still recovering from the ill-fated borrowing, ultimately responsible for dramatic parking cost increases, among other impacts.

Mayor Eric Papenfuse says the city’s maximized its debt load through at least 2030.
